Cabaret Berlin - The wild scene
The screening was followed by a discussion in the presence of the director and cabaret artist Caroline Loeb, who is working on updating this repertoire.
Screening of the documentary Cabaret Berlin , directed by Fabienne Rousso-Lenoir in 2010, which traces the effervescent musical life of Berlin cabarets in the Germany of the Weimar Republic.

For this project, students familiar with cultural life in Berlin during the Roaring Twenties, under the Weimar Republic, worked with artist Caroline Loeb on a translation-adaptation-actualization of a 1920s cabaret song, Raus mit den Männern aus dem Reichstag! by Friedrich Holländer.
After a preliminary translation by the Germanists, the joint project focused on prosody and the free adaptation of the song's content to make it a revelation of current issues.

This project was also part of the Atelier de traduction-création program - " Translating for the stage " run by Laurent Gallardo, Estelle Rivier-Arnaud, Isabelle Krzywkowski and Natacha Rimasson-Fertin.
