Where to go?

You should check whether the language(s) you are studying are offered before applying to a university.

Most of our partners (Erasmus+ and Bilateral agreements) recommend full-year stays to avoid the scheduling conflicts that a semester departure can cause (exams/start of courses and vice versa). Some courses are also offered on a year-round basis.

Itshould be noted that it is not possible to study abroad in the LEA Master's program, although it is possible to do an internship abroad (contact the Transverse department, in charge of internships).

In addition, students on a bilingual LLCER and LEA double degree program must meet the following conditions if they wish to apply twice:

  1. one semester of mobility per academic year (for example, L2 semester 4 and L3 semester 5, or L2 semester 4 and L3 semester 6)
  2. two different countries

Please note > Selecting the universities you wish to apply to means making sure that their course programs will enable you to validate your year of mobility with our university on your return. Some information (curricula/languages/requirements, etc.) is available on the MoveON interactive map below, but it's up to you to check on the universities' websites that the languages you are studying are actually taught.

Outside the Erasmus program

For universities outside the Erasmus program, if this is not specified, you need to check that all courses in your field of study (LEA or LLCER) are taught. As a reminder, you can study from L3 to M2 (and from L2 for English-Arabic and English-Chinese LEA students, on the Arabic- and Chinese-speaking destinations only). UK universities are not concerned, so you can apply from L1, and leave during your L2.
Bilateral agreements may involve several UGA components, so they are not "reserved" for SoCLE students. There are other partner universities and exchange programs (managed by DGD DIT and open to ALL UGA students).

Destinations by sector

The destinations on offer vary according to the course of study. To find out which ones you are eligible for, take a look at the interactive map on MoveON. Remember to select the component: "UFR SoCLE".
