Chile Woke" graphic art and photography exhibition
Culture
The "Chile Woke" exhibition at the soCLE library resonates with the photographs of Pedro Lemebel in the "Hay ropa tendida" [Walls have ears] series.
This project was designed by Marcela Soto Ramírez, in collaboration with the Ser&Gráfica collective (Chile) and Sonia Kerfa.
A fanzine resulting from this project will be presented at the exhibition.
Context
Chile Woke is a project in a series of art exhibitions held in Seattle (Washington, USA) during the pandemic (2020), with the participation of artists from Chile and the support of the State of Washington. This project was born in solidarity with the Chilean social movement: it is a reminder that the problems faced by people in Chile are the same as in the rest of Latin America.
