The UFR SoCLE (UFR Sociétés, Cultures et Langues Étrangères) is organized around the following areas: applied foreign languages (LEA) and foreign languages, literatures and civilizations (LLCER).

Applied foreign languages (LEA)

Visit Applied Foreign Languages (LEA) offer a multi-disciplinary , professional training program, with thelearning of two languages plus an applied subject (Social Sciences or Information and Communication). The language pairs on offer are: English (compulsory), German, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Russian.

The bachelor's degree leads to three master's degrees that meet the needs expressed by the professional world in the field of languages and technical know-how (companies, international organizations, NGOs and associations).

Foreign and Regional Languages, Literatures and Civilizations (LLCER)

Courses in Foreign and Regional Languages, Literatures and Civilizations (LLCER) offer students training in foreign languages based on two complementary pillars of knowledge: the linguistic pillar and the cultural pillar. This combination enables us to offer particularly rich and demanding courses leading to a wide range of further studies and career opportunities.

The languages taught areGerman,English,Spanish,Italian and Russian. Depending on students' wishes and plans, these can be combined (dual language degrees).
