Meeting with David Sala, comic book artist, as part of the ILCEA4 seminar on "History(s), adaptations, intermediality", part of the "Création culturelle et territoire(s)" research program.
This session, organized by the ILCEA4 laboratory (Institute of Languages and Cultures of Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Australia), will provide an opportunity for interdisciplinary reflection, in connection with The Chess Player (Casterman, 2017) by David Sala, and with his latest work The Weight of Heroes (Casterman, 2022), on the link between history (European, even world) and personal history, and on the transition from written (historical or personal) or oral narration to image-based storytelling.
