Intercultural seminar between the University of Kôbé (Japan) and UFR SoCLE

Culture
This is an intercultural seminar now organized for several years between the Japanese Studies Department (UFR SoCLE) and the University of Kôbé, during which a dozen Japanese students come to the Grenoble campus and spend a whole day exchanging ideas with students in the LEA English-Japanese program.
The moments of conviviality and informal discussion so precious to students from both countries are also great opportunities to experience intercultural dialogue and practice the language studied at university. The day ends with a sightseeing tour of the city organized by the students and a shared meal in the city center.

Discussions in small groups are also organized to encourage exchanges that sometimes use several languages at the same time: English, Japanese and French. The main objective is to promote face-to-face exchanges and dialogue between SoCLE's Japanese LEA student community and students from the University of Kôbé.

As the University of Kôbé is a SoCLE partner university, the day also provides an opportunity to put UGA students in touch with Kôbé students as part of their future mobility. It is also an opportunity for teachers to exchange teaching approaches with colleagues from other universities.
