The initiative was launched in 2021 thanks to a network between the "Regards Croisés" and "Culture et Création : littérature" courses which, in a complementary fashion, will in 2023-2024 address the issue of Basque nationalism and terrorism in literature and the arts, drawing on two major novels from ETA's memory and post-memory: "El comensal" by Gabriela Ybarra (2015) and "Patria" by Fernando Aramburu (2016).
For this third edition, the project breaks down into two tasks:
The first is a written production: put together a CAPES-type dossier (3 documents grouped under a theme) and write it in around 15 pages (introduction, separate presentations of the documents, summary presentation of the documents, problematization of the dossier, analysis of the dossier based on the set problem).
The second task was an oral production. Each group had to present its research work orally at the Journée des Jeunes Hispanistes (JJH), which was organized under the conditions of a university study day: communication subject to a time constraint (15 min), organization in the form of round tables grouped by theme and led by moderators, time for exchanges with the audience. Students presented their work, then answered questions from Hispanic teachers and other invited guests.
The strong points of this project are the discovery of research and the possible expectations of a research dissertation, and the possibility of an evaluation through the project.
