Les oubliés des îles grecques, histoires de crises" exhibition
International, Social action
This exhibition based on the comic strip "Les oubliés des îles grecques, histoires de crises", presented at the SoCLE library, highlights the living conditions of migrants in the camps during the health crisis.
Following a 3-month voluntary service on the island of Samos in Greece, Bertille De Salins decided to create a comic strip that would describe daily life in the migrant camps on the Greek islands and assess the impact of covid-19 on the work of the humanitarian actors working alongside them.
She created the book as part of her civic service with the Grenoble-based association Humacoop-Amel France. A new, complementary humanitarian and associative concept, Humacoop-Amel France juggles reflection and theoretical approaches with action in the field. Its action is based on several commitments: training, commitment and support, informing and raising awareness, and federating.
The comic strip "Les oubliés des îles grecques, histoires de crises" can be viewed at www.histoiresdecrises.eu.
The plates were exhibited at the SoCLE Library from October 11 to November 26, 2021. They were accompanied by photographs taken during various missions carried out by Humacoop-Amel France.
