Exhibition "Women's writing in Italy between the 19th and 20th centuries: a historical and thematic tour".
Culture
This exhibition is the fruit of work carried out by 3rd-year Italian LLCER students as part of their Modern Literature course, in collaboration with the SoCLE library.
The exhibition offers a journey through the history of 19th and 20th century women's literature in Italy, highlighting crucial historical moments and specific thematic axes in relation to feminism and the development of an awareness and practice of women's writing at the turn of the 20th century.
The students immersed themselves in the reading of the major works of several writers emblematic of the literary context of the period (Grazia Deledda, Ada Negri, Sibilla Aleramo, Goliarda Sapienza, Oriana Fallaci, Dacia Maraini, Alda Merini) and produced a series of reading cards designed to encourage the SoCLE library public to discover this literary panorama, which is still too little appreciated.
