APATHLON: Adapted Sports Day

This is a multisport challenge designed for mixed teams of able-bodied and disabled participants—in other words, a series of fun and athletic activities that teams composed of able-bodied students and people with disabilities must complete.

The Apathlon was conceived by CEMAVI in 2018. It is organized in collaboration with students in the professional track of the LLCER Master’s program at the UFR SoCLE.

Objectives

  • Promoting healthy living through sports
  • Raising awareness about disabilities 
  • Promote solidarity, sharing, and tolerance
  • Promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities

What kinds of athletic and recreational challenges? 

  • Blind Soccer
  • Biathlon with fat bikes and laser rifle shooting
  • Segway
  • Adaptive rugby with the FCG
  • Wheelchair hockey
  • Information and awareness booths on disabilities

Who can participate, and how do I sign up?

Any student or person with a disability can participate in the Apathlon. Registration is free. Only the meal requires payment (€5).
