The SoCLE Library has over 30,000 titles, listed in the Beluga catalog, in the following fields:

The library also offers a collection dedicated to preparing for competitive exams (Agrégation and CAPES), audiovisual materials (films and TV series on DVD), French and foreign newspapers and magazines, comic books and manga, as well as board games.
Foreign-language collections
The library has extensive collections in the disciplines taught at the UFR SoCLE (printed collections and electronic resources). The collections are divided into sections corresponding to the languages taught:

Each language has its own holdings in linguistics (language manuals, grammar, etc.), literature (works in the original language and translations, works of literary criticism, etc.), civilization (history, geography, politics, etc.) and the arts (painting, cinema, music, etc.).

The library also offers social science documents (textbooks, essays, non-fiction books and comics...) related to the courses taught in Applied Foreign Languages:

There is also a shared library for all languages, with resources in language science, translatology, literature and general history.
Competition Collections
Every year, the library puts together a collection of materials specifically designed to help students prepare for the English teaching certification exam. You will also find resources on the shelves to help you prepare for the Italian and Spanish teaching certification exams.
The library offers films and series on DVD, divided into the various sections ("arts" area). These documents can be viewed on site or borrowed, and external DVD players (USB connection) can also be borrowed. > Browse the DVD catalog
Games
Board games are available near the library reception desk, and can be used on site in the workroom, or borrowed to work on listening comprehension and oral production, or simply to have fun with friends. The list of available games can be consulted at Myludo.

Friday: 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Summer hours from May 25 to June 12, 2026:
From Monday to Thursday : 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
VFriday : 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Closed starting June 13. Scheduled to reopen on August 31 (new location due to construction)
